Mega Hair Extensions in Cinnaminson, NJ

Length that looks like it grew there. Mega hair is what we call extensions in Brazil, and it is the method I trained in: color matched to your hair, then cut into your shape.

Extensions blended into a dark base and cut so the join never shows
Caramel extensions taken past the waist, color matched to the natural hair
The same length from the side, cut to fall with the natural hair
Length built with extensions and worn half up, seen from the back

Custom means what

Two things give extensions away

The color is off, and the cut is not blended. Both are fixable, and both are the whole job.

Your color gets matched to your hair, not to a swatch in a box. Then the extensions get cut into your shape, so the length falls the way the rest of your hair falls. That second part is the one most people skip, and it is the one everybody notices.

Methods

How they go in

I work with five methods: tape-in, keratin bond (also sold as K-tip), microlink (you will also see it called microbead or I-tip), sew-in wefts, and the Italian knot, which the trade calls the Brazilian knot.

Fine hair needs one thing and thick hair needs another, and how you wear your hair day to day decides more than either. I look at your hair type, its density and how much it can hold before I recommend a method, so that decision waits until I have your hair in front of me.

In motion

What it looks like when it moves

A photo hides the join. Movement does not, which is why this one is filmed as well as photographed: the same length, the same session, from three angles.

The commitment

What you are signing up for

Extensions are not a one time appointment, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling. They need to be moved up as your own hair grows, and the hair itself has a lifespan. Both of those get explained before you commit, with real numbers for your hair and your method.

For most people that is a move-up every two to three months. The method shifts it, and so does how fast your own hair grows, which varies between people more than most expect.

If the upkeep does not fit your life right now, better to know that at the consultation.

Questions

Before you book extensions

Will people be able to tell?

Not if the color is matched and the cut is blended. Those two things are the job, and they are where the time goes.

Can I color my extensions later?

It depends on the hair and on what you want to do. We talk about it before you buy, because it changes which hair makes sense for you.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is set at your consultation. Extensions vary with how much hair you need and which method fits, so a single number on a page would be wrong for almost everyone.

How often do they need to be moved up?

Every two to three months on average. Which method you have and how fast your hair grows both move that, so you get your own number at the consultation.

Can I tie my hair up and swim?

Yes to both. The aftercare changes with the method, so before you leave I go through what yours needs to protect your own hair underneath and keep the extensions looking right.

Let's look at your hair first

The consultation decides the method, the amount and the color. Nothing gets ordered before that conversation.

The studio is in Cinnaminson, minutes from Moorestown, Riverton, Palmyra and Mount Laurel, and a short drive from Philadelphia.
