Bridal Hair and Makeup in Cinnaminson, NJ
The one day you are not going to improvise your hair. Or your makeup.
Before and after
The morning, in half a minute
Same chair, same mirror, same person. What changes in between is the whole point of booking the day instead of booking a service.
The trial
We do it once before we do it for real
We do a trial before the day. You see it, you live with it for a few hours, and we adjust what needs adjusting while there is still time to adjust it.
Bring the veil if you have one, bring a photo of the dress, and bring the accessories you are thinking about. Hair that looks right on its own can fight a neckline, and that is exactly the kind of thing you want to find out at the trial and not in the mirror on the morning of.
Nothing about your wedding day should be the first time we try something.
Planning
When to do what
-
01
Hold the date
Weekends book out, and I only take one client at a time, so the date is the first thing to lock. Tell me where you are getting ready when you do.
-
02
The trial
Far enough ahead that there is room to change your mind, close enough that your hair is in the same condition it will be in.
-
03
Color and cut before, not after
If you are coloring or cutting for the wedding, that happens with time to settle. Fresh color on the morning of is a gamble.
What's included
The whole day, not just the hair
Hair and makeup, both. I have a team that works alongside me, so the getting ready room is one crew that already knows how the other one works. You are not coordinating two vendors and hoping they agree on the timing.
The bridal party is part of it too. Bridesmaids, mother of the bride, whoever is getting ready with you, all in the same schedule.
And we come to you. For a wedding or a quinceañera I travel to where you are getting ready, so nobody spends the morning of driving anywhere. The studio stays open for the trial, which is where it belongs.
And it is not only weddings. A quinceañera gets the same day: hair, makeup, on location, and somebody keeping an eye on the clock so the girl of the day is not the one worrying about it.
One team, one timeline, one person answering for it.
Not only weddings
Quinceañeras and Sweet 16ths get the same day
Same team, same schedule, hair and makeup for her and her court, on location. It has a page of its own because the day is planned differently.
Questions
Bridal questions
Should I get extensions for the wedding?
Often yes, and if so they go in well before the day, not the week of. We decide at the trial. See extensions.
Can you match a photo from Pinterest?
Bring it. Then let me tell you honestly what your hair length and texture will do with that shape, and what we would change to get the same feeling on you.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is set once we know the date, the style, and how many people are getting hair and makeup done. Ask when you check your date.
Do you come to us, or do we come to you?
For the day itself, I come to you. Weddings and quinceañeras are done on location, wherever you are getting ready. The trial is at the studio in Cinnaminson, because that is where everything I might need is.
Do you do makeup too, or only hair?
Both. Hair and makeup are done by me and the team that works with me, on the same day, on the same schedule. That is the point of booking the day instead of booking a service.
Is this only for weddings?
No. A quinceañera gets the same day and the same crew: hair, makeup, and the timing handled for you. It has its own page, because the day is planned differently.
How many of us can you do in one day?
It depends on the day and what each person is having done, and the team is big enough that the number is rarely the problem. The largest party we have done so far was forty people.
Is the trial included?
Packages are built per bride, so the trial goes in if you want it. Some people want to see the hair and makeup before the day and some would rather do it all on the morning. We can also come back after the ceremony to change the hair or redo the makeup for the party, or for a second round of photos. Tell me what you want in yours and I price that.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can. Wedding and quinceañera dates go first, and once a date is taken I cannot take another party on it.
What happens if I cancel or change the date?
A deposit of 30 percent holds the date. Cancel or miss the day and that deposit is not refunded. Moving the date is different: I can carry it over as long as the team and I are free on the new one. If we are already booked that day, it stays non refundable.
Start with the date
Send me the date, the wedding or the party, and we will work backwards from there.
